Mayson started feeling bad yesterday. He was running a slight fever. As the evening went on he started complaining about his right ear hurting. I woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat. I swear I get one at least every other month. It's so annoying. I need my tonsils out, just never have done it. I called the Urgent Care Clinic this morning and got Mayson and myself an appointment. Turns out he does have an ear infection. And his temp was 102 while we were there. They did a rapid strep test on me and it was negative. So, that's good, at least it isn't strep throat. The Dr. recommended that Mayson stay home from school tomorrow until his fever is down an the antibiotics have been in his system for 24 hours. So, I have to call into work tonight. I really hate doing that. But, my kids are more important.
We got about a foot of snow last night. It is piled so high on the sides of our driveway that I don't have anywhere else to shovel it to. Today I pushed most of it out to the road so the plow could push it down the street. LOL. Not really supposed to do that....but not sure what else to do.
Johnny texted me last night. He had just finished a 24 mile road march. Yes, I said 24 miles! haha. He will be home Tuesday sometime. YAY! Then it's only 20 days til our vacation! We are so excited.
Well, I'm gonna go wrap up in a blanket and watch some tv. Hope you all had a great weekend!

wow...i'd totally take some of that snow!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hope you all get better:)
A great home remedy for ear infections is buying a garlic oil soft gel, puncturing it, and pouring it in the ear. It's cleared up every ear infection we've ever had. :)
ReplyDeleteI do hope you're all feeling better soon.
I can't believe they'd have school in session with that much snow! Ye Gods!
Oh, and btw, there is no way in hell I could walk 24 miles. LMAO
Have a nice evening, love!
